Rules governing the Submission of titles:

At present, there are three basic requirements: first the author must be Irish by birth or citizenship; second, the book must have been published for the first time in the calendar awards year; and third, the work must be original ie not a reprint nor a translation or adaptation of a previously-published book. With the vast expansion of the awards, a thorough review of the rules governing submissions will be conducted by the summer of 2007.

Voting in the Publicly-voted categories:

Readers may record their votes for the Galaxy and Tubridy Show awards in three ways: by voting card available in all good bookshops; on this website; or by <1>Sunday Independent phone-in (see paper for details.)

National Book Tokens Competition:

Voters in the Galaxy and Tubridy Show awards can opt to enter for the this competion which will reward ten lucky voters with €100 of book tokens. NB. No purchase is necessary. Winning entries will be selected at random. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Winners will be notifed by post by 15th April 2007.
